Harbour-Side Convenience
Meet at the center before each trip for safety briefings and equipment fittings; debrief over coffee after dives. Gear room, rinse area, and a cozy lounge make it easy to focus on the blue.

From Farikede to Shark Island
The first registered diving center in Fuvahmulah to specialize in tiger shark diving. Began as Farikede Divers (named after a local reef), later Fuvahmulah Tiger Shark Dive , and today known as Shark Island Dive Center.
Founded by Lonu, a Fuvahmulah local with resort experience. Before our start, tiger shark dives were mostly run by liveaboards — not island locals. This local-led initiative helped put Fuvahmulah on the world’s shark map.
Protecting the Ocean We Love
Maldives marine ecosystems are delicate and already feeling global change. We partner with government bodies, local NGOs, schools, waste-management teams, and marine experts to drive awareness and reduce plastic.
- Plastic reduction: with our Australian partner Jono , we’re installing public water dispensers in Fuvahmulah.
- Ocean education: workshops with schools in Fuvahmulah and nearby atolls.
- Responsible diving: briefings emphasize respectful interactions and species-first protocols.
